Hi booky! Mommy says I need to write in you to practice my handwriting! I can spell good, but Mommy says my handwriting is hourid….horid….bad! She says you’re a Dairy, but I like the name booky better, Uh oh, Mommy’s comin and she looks tired, I
gotta go help her with the cookin! Bye bye!

Mommy’s gettin sicker and sicker. Daddy says its aneemea but I dunno what that means. All I know is mommy’s really really sick. I hope she gets better. Daddy says I need to pray for a miracle and that everything gets better! I sure hope it does! ^-^ I’ve are praying real hard to make Mommy better. My big brother, Ricky, has never left Mommy’s side, he must be wantin her to get better too!

Mommy died today, Daddy took me in his lap and rocked me to sleep, tellin me that Mommy will be back. Everything that we love we’ll eventually see again if we love it enough, I’ll never stop loving my mommy then, never, never never! Ricky’s kinda silent though, he doesn’t look sad but he won’t talk or nothin. I hope he’s okay.

We went to Mommy’s funeral today. I worred about Ricky, he seemed all robitiky like, but when I told Daddy, he just said I need to be nice to my brother then cried over Mommy some more. I stood with Daddy and cried too and Ricky just stood there, lookin at Mommy, Daddy was too sad. I hugged him, but he just pushed me away and took me and brother away from the funeral when they were lowerin Mommy into the ground. I want to know what happens when we die. Daddy told me all good people go to Heaven, but he wouldn’t tell me what happened to the bad people. It’s gettin dark, Booky, I gotta go. Me and Ricky share a room and I don’t want him to tease me or nothin.

Daddy signed me and Ricky up for Boarding School, I don’t like it. I like playing in the woods, not balancing books on my head and learning to speak right. Ricky doesn’t like it either, but I know he needs to. Ricky’s gotten really mean lately. I don’t know why though. I gotta get my things packed, booky, wish me luck!

I’m all moved in and I share a room with 5 other girls. They’re all so nice to me. I even see Ricky from time to time, though he doesn’t say hi or nothing. He says he’s embarrassed to have a sister like me. His friends scare me though, they don’t look normal lookin. I hope he’ll be okay. I miss nice Ricky.

I’ve gotten really good at writing and speaking now, and I’ve been so busy that I forgot to write in you, Diary! Madam Louise is really kind and has really improved my vocabulary and writing. I don’t much care for Madam Lestrange or Sir Todd, but I’m sure they’re secretly nice, just strict to make us better people. I’ve made so many friends here that I’m never lonely, but Alaric has made some friends as well. I don’t like any of them. They stare at me strangely when I talk to them, and Alaric has become increasingly distant. I wonder what’s happening with him?

I’ve been in this school for a long time, Diary, and now Madam Louise has decided it’s time I get my own room! I only share part of it with another girl, but I haven’t seen much of her. I told Alaric and he seemed excited too! He even let me hug him without complaining or scolding me! Maybe my brother is getting nicer again? I dearly hope so Diary, I miss my big brother! His 13th birthday is coming up soon. I wonder what I should get him, a big teenager present, I’m sure, but what?

Alaric has been spending a lot more time with me, saying that I’ve finally gotten less childish. I’m just happy to have him back! His friends have accepted me finally, though they still creep me out. There’s just something about them that scares me. But if my brother likes them, I’ll try to like them too! I haven’t heard from Daddy in a while. I hope he’s okay. Alaric says he’s been visiting him and Daddy’s just tired. I hope he gets some sleep soon.

Madame Lestrange was found dead in her bed this morning and the doctors say its because she had anemia, and she must have hidden it from the others. Mommy had that though, and Mommy was always sick because of it, how could Madame Lestrange hide it so well if she was in that much pain? Alaric actually hugged me today though in trying to comfort me. He smelled of iron, I wonder where he’s been playing?

I don’t feel so good, Diary, I’m tired and weak. The doctors say I’m getting anemia too, and I’m scared, Diary. I’m really scared. I’ve been confined to this hospital bed and I’ve been excused from classes. Alaric visits everyday, along with his friends. They bring me flowers and candy. They’re so nice, I wonder how I could have ever doubted them?

Diary, I don’t like this room. I keep getting nightmares of someone standing over me, holding my wrist to their mouth, but whenever I wake up, there’s no one there and there’s no bite marks on my wrist at all. I’m scared, Diary, I’m really, really scared. I’ve told my fears to Alaric and he gets scared with me too. My birthday is in a couple of days and he tells me that we’re going to do something really special for it, but I don’t feel like I can even get out of bed. I told this to Alaric and he chuckled, saying I’ll have enough energy for it. I wonder what it could be?

I’ve finally reached the double digits Diary! I’m still in the Hospital wing, though, I wish I could leave, but all of my friends came and wished me a happy birthday though! I love all of them so much, they’re so nice. Then Alaric and his friends came and they shooed them all out. I thought it was quite mean, but then they pulled out this box and in it was a small cake! We all split it into five pieces and we shared it, it was so good! Alaric then told me that tonight will be a very special night. He told me about a meteor shower happening just outside and he’s going to bring me outside and both of us are going to watch it! it’s just going to be me and him, diary! I can’t wait! I even feel stronger than I have been in the last few days! I don’t even get the nightmares anymore! I told this to Alaric and his friends and they smiled kindly at me. All of them even hugged me before they left! I can’t wait for tonight, Diary! I just can’t wait!

I’m in a strange mansion, Diary, and it’s huge! I don’t remember how I got here though. All I remember is what happened when Alaric came for me. He picked me up, which is odd, I don’t remember him having that sort of strength, I asked him if he’s been lifting weights, and he just laughed, and told me I was just really light. He then set me outside and we looked at the stars for a while, then the meteors came and I pointed them out to him excitedly, and he laughed then an odd look came over his face and he stood up. I asked him what was wrong, but he just said he needed to get his friends and he ran off. I wondered what had happened, but he said he’d be back soon, so I sat and waited….that’s when I started getting sleepy and I fell asleep. I woke up here though, and then Meg, my vampire, came and explained what happened and introduced me to everyone. Everyone is so nice here and I’ve learned a lot about vampires! Oh! Yes, vampires! the mansion is full of them and the humans that they’ve taken for companionship, Meg is my vampire, and she took me because I look like her daughter. I wonder what happened to her? Meg reminds me a lot of Mommy though. Alaric and Daddy would have liked her. Oh, I hope they aren’t sad! I’ll have to ask if I can write them a letter or go say hi sometime. I miss my brother, hopefully he didn’t worry a lot when he found out I was gone. I hope someone told him what happened! I’m sorry, diary, I have to go, it’s time for me to sleep. Night, night, diary.
