Marina smirked with her voice echoing eerily, "Nice try," and leaped onto Proteus, choking him with her hands on fire, burning his skin.
"Marina!" Proteus gasped, trying to pull away.

Marina let him go, feeling her head. Her eyes turned to normal. Proteus panted for air and leaned against a dresser. She started to cry and looked at her hands, "Wh-what have I done?"
