Kadaj nodded. "I could . . . I don't know if the doctors would appreciate that . . . "
"Oh, we'll have some healers come in and help her as soon as she's rested," the doctor assured them. "We just don't want her exposed to magic like that when she's exhausted."

"We need to do a few check-ups on Evey, here," the doctor said. "There's a food court downstairs, and there's a golf course across the street if you want to go there . . ."
Kadaj looked over at Tai. "What do you want to do?" he asked.

Kadaj chuckled. "Food court it is."
The doctor smiled and gently took Evey, walking away with the nurse. "We'll bring her back here and have a nurse with her and her mother as soon as we're done checking up on her. We won't give her any shots or anything until you sign for it," he assured him.

Kadaj chuckled and followed him.
The food court wasn't terribly busy, but neither was it empty. There were a few fathers with their children eating in the tables, and a few couples with an elderly father or mother.

*Tai runs into the food court and looks at the food, giving a small grin; he turns and sees a boy, a bit younger than him trying to reach for a hot pretzel; Tai looks at the boy and bites his lip* I...I got that for you... *he turns, to grab a napkin and by the time he turns back around, the boy's father already has a napkin in hand, getting the pretzel and handing it to his son; the father looks to Tai and nods, waving his head* I've got it taken care of, thank you. *Tai blinks at the dad before giving a small nod, as he looks away; the young boy hugs his dad's leg and smiles brightly* You're the best dad!!! *Tai keeps his back towards the father and son before tears form in his eyes and he dashes out the food court, sprinting outside*
